The emotional turmoil faced by thetwo main characters as well as the respective men in their lives isdepicted with feeling.A couple of songs are worth mp3 downloads. :-)The title song is a sound testament to a great craftsman's work. Interms of lyrical beauty, the song is one for a "best of Gulzar"collection if it came to that. [I've mentioned on RMIM that the tunehas been lifted by Anu Malik from Vishal Bharadwaj's superb ‘BadalonSe' in Satya. Incidentally, it was also written by Gulzar and isanother potent example of the poet's power]. Another – Le ChalenDoliyon Mein is the director's method of carrying the narrativeforward. However, some of the other songs interrupt the flow. One ofthem – Waqt Ka Saaya - even contradicts the nature of the maincharacters. These are people who live life on their own terms bymolding their own destiny. A fatalistic song like Waqt Ka Saayabetrays that theme. Another song – Sola Singaar Karke – is proof ofthe fact that the virus called choprajoharitis can claim evenintelligent directors.
TAMIL MP3 DOWNLOADS : Tabu is a superb artiste and carries her role with her usual panache.But then, describing her talent on RAMLI is like preaching to theconverted. The surprise package is Sushmita Sen. Having devoted aIMHO, Mitr, really is an awfully bad movie. The idea is OK, but the story& everything else is really bad.The dialogues are terrible - I don't remember them, I saw it morethan a month back - people just don't talk that way. Her chat sessionson the internet are really ridiculous, IMHO.The scene where Prithvi talks some e-paradigm crap in a meetingtypifies the hackneyed nature of the movie.And the twist in the story line about who turns out to be heranonymous chat friend is truly ridiculous. The other ending ofthe ABCD kids realization of the true worth of her parents wasalso very hackneyed.
TAMIL MP3 DOWNLOADS : The husband-wife part of the story is OK, but the ABCD conceptsshown in the movie have been explored a lot in movies, on web-sites,Sulekha & god knows where else.IMHO, American Desi was hilarious. I hated both Hyderabad Blues& Mitr.And Mitr was made even more annoying by Revathy being constantlyon all channels promoting the movie - the same interviews being repeateda million times over. Mitr also premiered in my city as some "ASHA"event - I was going it to see it before I realized that Revathy is going tobe there for a Q & A session. I really wonder what questions peoplecould have asked her about the movie. If the movie raised questions insome person's mind, I dread meeting that person more than I dreadmeeting Revathy.The Prithvi chap now appears in some Basmati Rice or Masalaad nowadays. And he plays the part of Prithvi in the ad also.

In fact, moreoften than not, the conversation between the three of them is curt andto the point. The daughter is quite rude to the mother since she wants"space" and her mother doesn't giver her any.Why was the e-paradigm related conversation "crap"? He talks aboutB2B, IPO's and mergers. This film was shot in a period when all thesetopics were the rave of the day, weren't they?The chat friend was more of a cinematic device used by Revathy toindicate that they could've have had a meaningful conversation face toface instead of depending on an intermediate medium. The intermediaryin this case was the chat room. In another era, it could've been acommon friend or a counseller. The other symbolic aspect of the chatroom is Laxmi's identification with the only person who reaches out toher during her period of turmoil, viz: Steve. She truly believes tillthe very end that her anonymous net friend is Steve since he "talkslike him". Laxmi's complete interdependence (or lack of independence)is shown by this device.
TAMIL MP3 DOWNLOADS : The daughter Divvya does not realize the true worth of her parents inany way :-) Once again, there was a context to her behaviour. SheThis movie was force-fed to me in exchange for my wife to watch "The Fastand the Furious" (which was a cool dude'ish movie:)) wasn't as bad asI thought it would be. Some clever flashbacks used in the narrativebut I think all the critics didn't like her for this.But the main drawback was too much focus on the storyline (sometimes dull)and hardly any reprieve from the proceedings which seemed mindless. Thereshould've been some comedy relief and some witty/smart lines attributed tosome actors (kinda like Saif Ali Khan in DCH). The Parents and some maincharacters were mere bystanders and yes-men.
